Turtle birthday cake

I made these turtle cakes for Levi's birthday. I had extra cake so I made him a little turtle (complete with a binky) to smash. I'll post pictures from his birthday soon.

Saving some green

Take a look at this receipt, I think it speaks for itself.
This is what I got today:
27 packages of pasta
8 bottles of Nivea body wash
2 boxes of Ritz crackers
2 boxes cheeze-its crackers
5 packages of Mr Clean magic erasers
1 carton Silk almond milk

ALL OF THIS FOR 9.39! Not a bad day at the store. I was bummed that the tooth brushes I wanted were gone, I would have gotten 16 of them for FREE. I like the fact that I can give extra stuff like that to shelters.

BBQ Cupcakes

This is a fun thing to do with your kids for Summer. I made them for Fathers day last year and gave them to neighbors and friends, but you can make them for any occasion. The pictures basically explain how to make them. I used Swedish fish (for the kebabs), gold fish, hot tamales (hot dogs), and caramels that I cut up into smaller peices. I used crunched up butterfinger for the embers, and black frosting to make the grill marks and the grill. Also you can get silver cupcake liners to make them look even better.

Summer... Please?

As much as I love the winter and the fun stuff that comes with it I can't wait for the warmer days of Summer to get here.

Ok, maybe he was driving a Mazda... Without fail when Grandpa Andy comes to town the house is filled with the sounds of his banjo and children laughing. It always reminds me of the times when I was young and he would play and sing while my brothers and sisters and I would sing (squawk) and dance. Thanks for sharing your talent grandpa!
