THE..... KITCHEN???

So here are some fresh off the camera pictures of our kitchen. As you can see the family who lived here before us were not the cleanliest of people.... And they REALLY liked the color blue. So what we have done so far: We dropped a bomb in the house and ripped everything out that we could. Judd pulled up the kitchen floor along with the rest of the kitchen and put in new electrical and outlets. We are now waiting for our cabinets to be made and installed. Today we get a new window :) All in all it is alot of work, but it will all be well worth it when it's done.

Playing in the Snow

Here are a few pictures from our most recent snowboarding trip. Judd and I went up to Beaver Mountain and snowboarded for the day.... Well, at least until it started dumping snow on us. I love the first picture of Judd, he is such a goof ball. The last one is a view from the truck as we were leaving. After leaving we had a cup of hot chocolate waiting for us at the Sparks' house, so we were able to thaw out a little :)

Which One of These Things is not like the Other?

Here are a few photos of Judd and I at the Sparks' home on Christmas Eve. This family is nothing short of amazing! These photos are courtesy of Oertel :)And since they are so similar we will try something fun.
Okay, so I know that most of you have played this game.... Afterall, they used to be a mainstay in every issue of the Friend Magazine..... So here's how it works: There are 10 things that change from the first picture to the next. See if you can find what they are and then post a comment bragging about how well you did, and how many you found. The answers will be listed below so NO CHEATING!

ANSWERS:
1)Stevan's are disappears in the second photo--(Stevan is the one behind Leslie)
2)Baby Rex turned his head to the side in the second photo for a side snapshot
3)Matt's eyebrows are in a normal position in the second photo (Matt is the one on the bottom Left hand side of the photo with the maroon long sleeve shirt on)
4)Leslie's head is tilted in the second photo
5)The strings On Oertel's sweater are closer together and slanted more in the second photo (Oertel is the one next to Judd)
6)Hannah's arm moves up to her face in the second photo (Hannah is in the Green)
7)The pillows are in a different position in the second photo
8)Scott's foot moved farther out in the second photo (Scott is in the red on the bottom row, all the way to the Left of the picture)

10)Leslie's right hand decides to make an appearance in the second photo
Oh, and one bonus point--- Judds right elbow moves out farther

Things That Make You Go Hmmmmm?

What would be your first reaction upon seeing such a creature? Well, I'll tell you what mine was.... I ran straight back to my car and grabbed my camera. After all, I had to have proof of such a sighting, or else no one would believe me. I of course asked the woman if I could take a picture, and I was really sweet about it (didn't want her to scrath my eye out or something). After talking with her a while I found out that she had not clipped her nails since 1976. Why she picked this year to turn herself into a walking circus attraction I do not know... Perhaps she was celebrating the launch of the Apple computer.... that happened in 1976.
Who really knows what motivates us as humans to act the way we do? This definately is a thing that makes you go... Hmmm?

Our New Toy

Ever wonder what people do in front of mirrors when no one else is around? Well..... Wonder no more, here is your answer; They make faces at themselves, and if ever possible (providing that there is food involved) it becomes "see food". At this point a person might ask themselves, "Why in the world are they posting such pictures for us to gawk at?".... Well, the truth is that we have no adorable (or hideous) children to take pictures of so that people can gawk at them... So, alas my friends you are stuck with the "see food" from our experiment with our new web cam until we get our own little "see food" artist....

More from the "Fun" filled weekend.

Here is some video as promised. If you watch really close you can see when it happens. Listen for Shane to tell me I can go and keep you eye on my truck. Right after it disappears you will see my headlights really quick and then my tail lights. I believe that is when it all went wrong. Oh so wrong. Last time we tried to put a video with a post it wouldn't work so here is the link.

"Fun" filled weekend

Well this weekend was quiet the "fun" filled weekend. Shane had just put new suspension on his 4runner much like I have on my Tacoma, which makes it so that you can go faster through the bumps without bottoming out as easily. It also makes for better off road handling. We decided to go out Friday night and let him try it out, We also wanted to see how well our newly installed lights worked. So we went out and did a little rock crawling and some rallying. After a couple of hours we decided that it was time to head home..... and off I went. Now, for those of you who know me, or have ridden with me off road, you know that I like to go fast. Going fast on dirt roads is my nicotine. In my speeding along the road I came up to a turn that was a little tighter than I had expected. The rear tires broke loose and the truck went sideways to the passenger side and then tipped to the drivers side, then back again to the passenger side. Then the bead blew on the front passenger tire. The rim hit the dirt and shot the truck straight into the berm on the side of the road. We popped up into the air a couple of feet, hit the ground and bounced up again, sending the truck a few feet into the air once again. We landed on the two passenger side tires and then laid the truck on its side. In the process the were a few choice words that I'm not going to repeat here. But they were choice. When the truck finally came to rest on its side, my mag light went crashing into the rear passenger window and broke it. That's the only window that broke. Once we got it up and on all fours we saw the only rock within 30 feet and it was right under the door. The truck would have been fine, but the mag light broke the window and I landed on the ONLY ROCK IN SIGHT.

So like I said, It was a fun filled weekend. Luckily Leslie wasn't there, the text to her wasn't all that fun to send either. Now the truck will be picked up in a couple of days by the insurance company and they will decide if it can be fixed or if it is even worth fixing. So I'm going to be without a truck for at least a month. Probably more. I still haven't gotten the passenger door to open.

The next morning though we went shooting and Leslie got to try out her new shooting coat. Its really nice and her shooting has really improved. I tried it out too... That was a mistake because now I want to get a new coat. Oops:) We forgot to take the camera so we don't have any pics, but we are going to go again this weekend. We'll try to remember the camera for you all. Oh and I'm hoping to put some video of Friday nights fiasco on here too so come back!!
